Rest in peace Ruth. A very worthy cause xxx
Beautiful Ruth, my deep gratitude for your lifelong, true friendship. Wherever our hearts journey now, you will be there.
Ruth and I first met when we were law undergraduates at Bristol in 1983. Even then, Ruth shone as a student of sinewy and tenacious intellect, matched only by the kindness of her heart, her sense of outrage at injustice and a sense of humour that ranged from the wry to the ridiculous. Conversations with Ruth were like dropping a thermometer in Aladdin’s Cave – you never knew where it was going to go or what you might discover. Her light has gone from the world but stays in our hearts. Go well, Ruth.
