
Colin Robert Christopher Witts
On 4th December 2025, Colin Witts unexpectedly passed away at home. Born in Pickering, Yorkshire on 23rd December 1942 to the late Frederick Witts and Bella Beckett Witts of Swindon. He was an Electrician by trade. Attended Pinehurst School and then Swindon College during his apprenticeship. He joined the Merchant Navy in 1969 with the Pendennis Line, leaving in 1974 as the Chief Electrical Engineer. He is best remembered for his wit, love of all types of music and love of life & traveling. To relax he enjoyed fishing. Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Valerie, and brother Clive Witts. He is survived by his daughter Mandy Vinup (James), grandchildren Craig Vinup (Kelly), Zoe Baldwin (Scott), great-granddaughter Chloe Baldwin, his partner of 17 years Christine Page, brothers Stuart Witts (Christine), Melvyn Witts (Rita) many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Service to be held at Kingsdown Crematorium on Friday 9th January 2026 at 1:30pm.
