Where the sheep head whispers to the sea,
And the Atlantic breezes blow so free
      There lies a spot
      Where the weary rest
      By Balleragh,on the peninsula crest.
Down the narrow roads of green and grey
Where the wild flowers bloom in bright array.
Past the hidden coves and the rocky shore beside the tales of the olden lore.
A quiet valley a peaceful glen far from the noise of the city men
With hearts that wander and eyes that see
The magic of west Cork scenery.
So walk the lane in the evening light and watch the stars take away the night in quiet wander in calm and grace Balleragh in this cherished place .

From your Neices and Nephews in Ireland

Peg we had wonderful times in both Worcester and Swindon with you and our family over the years. You were my godmother and I loved you telling me all the lovely stories growing up. You were a fountain of knowledge, and the last strong connection to mum & dad. You are all together again now, but I miss you dearly and our chats. Everything happened too fast since you had that fall Feb 2025. Love you Peg very much. RiP my beautiful cousin. Xxxx

      Following the lovely contribution from Auntie Peg’s nieces and nephews in Cork City;
I’d like to borrow a few words from a old Irish song, especially for her.

“And if there’s going to be a life hereafter,
And somehow I think there’s going to be,
I will ask my God to make for thee a Heaven,
In that little land beyond the Irish Sea”.
      Rest in peace Auntie Peg.

      My deepest sympathy 🙏🏼

Auntie Peggy used to make me a special seed cake when I was little… I’ve never had seed cake anywhere else and I’ve thought of her kindness many times over the years 💜
