She was a wonderful individual – she brought light to a dark time of my life, and being able to talk and discuss experiences has been something I’ve held dear.

I hope that wherever she may be now, she is happy.

Dear Cathy, I shall always remember the wonderful holidays our two families had together when you were young, especially taking turns to ride your gentle Prince. Rest in peace my love x x

So many memories, from Cathy carrying me over a stream as a child to friendship and support in adult life. I will remember her every time I wash my hands and sing ‘What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor’ instead of ‘Happy Birthday’. We miss you Cathy. xxx

Cathy enjoyed adrenaline, and didn’t let using a wheelchair stop this – she pushed her chair to its limits!

    Cathy.
How very like you not to let such a hard position get you down. Anything the fates threw at you, you just took it in your stride and laughed a lot. Lol I remember us butting heads through group therapy and ending up just us two completing it??? we made friends in the end and what a wonderful life you had despite everything. It was an honour crossing the line with you. You are so bright a star. Shine on wonderful friend. I’ll keep the torch burning but it won’t be the same without you. How could life ever be the same without you?? You’re most loved clearly by all these people. In the group I was known as Francesca Lok but I thought it proper to put down my birth name from respect.

Simon, my condolences to you and your family and thank you so much for including us in these final arrangements.
In our letters, Cathy always offered support, kindness and compassion to me. We exchanged Youtube classical music for 5 years and shared what we were going through.
Cathy, thanks for all you have shared with everyone. Your life has been a gift to all of us.

Dear Simon and family, may Words bring solace at such a loss…
Fondly considering classy, playfulll Cathy and her finely determined composure:
~From days of her NHS Physio-ing, awesomely & compassionately handling patients.
Advocating at meetings, even tackling the odd Consultant to smooth complexities!
~Her infectious enthusiasm about the recorder and Swindon choral performances.
She raised the rafters on my limited experience of such things.
~Enjoyed cuppas together and her hospitality, even when illness had taken it’s toll.
Restaurant hopping for Birthdays & her gorgeous pressies.
Especially to see and hear sweet tones at the joint 50ths celebration.
~Cathy really offered me a lifeline of friendly hope, when mourning.
Unforgettable Christmas card, also got a chuckle out, despite feelings.
~ May you know The Spirit of Jesus Christ’s supply, to overcome any grim days.
God’s Wits were definitely about her, lots of Love HelenX

Here is a picture of Cathy in the Triocch group with Caroline and Helen after winning the Groups trophy in the Swindon Music Festival for the third time, singing an arrangement of the Blue Danube Waltz. She also often won the Lieder class as her German was very good, and shared the contralto solo class with Caroline. She also won the recorder solo trophy in the last two years. The music festival will be much poorer without her and we will all miss her very much.

Cathy was a lovely neighbour. She will be sadly missed. I loved our conversations through the garden fence.
Condolences to Simon, Jane, Brian, Ruth and the rest of the family. Love Tony

Cathy, my dear friend and trio sister
You were such a wonderful person, so kind and gentle, an incredibly talented musician, incredibly brave, so encouraging and always had a smile on your face even when things got a little bit tough.
I’m going to miss you so very much and I feel truly blessed to have known you and having the opportunity to sing with you on many occasions in church choir was always so much fun, but particularly as a trio. That will always be a time I remember with much fondness. There were always so many laughs at rehearsals but your encouragement to me will be something I’ll never forget.
Goodbye & God bless I’ll never forget you.
Sleep peacefully our angel of music. ??? Xxxx
Much love to Simon & family your all in my thoughts and prayers

I will treasure my many years of friendship with you at our weekly badminton club. Many lovely memories , chat over coffee and cake and many lunches out! I so enjoyed your beautiful music and singing. I remember your wonderful singing concert in Queen’s Park, you are such a talented musician. Sincere condolences at Cathy’s loss. She was a very talented and special girl and had become a dear friend in the last five years. We will treasure her memory and miss her sorely. Singing in the choir will not be the same again. But every time I (Avril) sing I’ll hear her voice next to me and be glad she was my friend.
