Joan was a treasured member of the Fernham Book Group for many years.
She brought joy and laughter to each meeting with her fab sense of humour and forthright opinions.
She shared many wonderful anecdotes from her life which we will cherish always. XX
Dear Joan,
She was our first contact when we moved to Fernham 8.5 years ago.
Rest in peace beautiful lady.
Philip &Sally.
Fernham misses such a lovely lady , so kind, supportive of all our village events and welcoming to all new villagers. I will particularly miss her at St John’s services, where she worshipped for many years. Our lives are better for knowing her.
So sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. She and Godfrey made us very welcome when we arrived in Fernham, and we always admired her humour and spirit. Our deepest condolences to her family at this difficult time.
Thank you Joan for your many years as our WI treasurer and keeping our committee in order. Joan was a devoted member of our small WI ever since she came to live in Fernham way back in the distant past. Joan was a people person and we feel immensely fortunate to have experienced her friendship and support over many years. God bless you.
A charming, wonderful lady who with husband Godfrey contributed so much to the village life in Fernham. Sadly missed.
