Our sincere condolences to Carol and family on the sad passing of Hedley. Hedley has been taken from his family and friends far too early, but his legacy and how he has touched so many people will continue with all who had the privilege to know him. Hedley could put everyone he met at ease and if you were fortunate enough to have him as a manager, as I was, he provided clear guidance on what we needed to achieve, but he was always supportive and caring. Over the 30 years since I first met Hedley, both he and Carol are very important and incredibly special to our family. Hedley was a wonderful mentor, manager and friend and the world will be less brighter without him, his smile and that twinkle in his eye. Our love to Carol and family. With love Sue, Mike, David and Annie Ward xxxx
“In times of deepest sorrow, when tears may cloud our eyes. It seems our grief is endless, but then we realise. That sorrow is the memory of a happy yesterday, and memories live on and on, while sorrows fade away.” Anonymous
Hedley and Carol attended our wedding in 1999. It was a magical day and Hedley did a beautiful Kahlil Gibran reading and unknown to us, he had spoken to the registrar weeks before and charmed them to agree to a second reading, which had us all laughing – it was magic! Hedley had a lovely charm and manner that would put everyone who met him at ease. Hedley will be greatly missed. With love to Carol and family Sue & Mike Ward xx
