Sorry to hear this terrible news. John will be sadly missed. It was always a pleasure to bump into him out and about in the village, a sad loss indeed.
I very much appreciated John re-establishing contact with me as I retired from Nationwide back in the summer.
John was somebody that I’d enjoyed working with prior to his own retirement, so it was good to catch up with him by email and then over the phone.
Sadly, we never physically met again, so the phone conversation we had, and the advice he gave to me as a new retiree, will remain with me as a special memory, as will the years of working with him as a close and much-valued colleague.
My sympathies to you all at this sad time.
Our dear cousin John rest in peace.
John really was a wonderful, kindhearted man.
I remember when Mags and I were growing up, he always welcomed me into his lovely home (with Margaret) and he’d drive us places, nothing was ever too much for him. Then later when I worked at NBS, John was the greatest support to me as I began my career, which I’ll always be thankful for.
Sleep well John, rest easy.
All my love and condolences to Margaret, Michael, Mags, Brendan and Jack.

So sorry for your loss.
