We were both very upset to find that your dad had passed away. John was lovely, I can just picture him now, watering the front lawn in the evening. Every time I use the £2 ‘twist cultivator’ (aka ‘twizzly thing’) that John got for me, I can hear him talking to me. He is with Edna now, which is where he would have wanted to be. Your mum and dad were so lovely. We both feel very sad and wanted all of you to know how much they both meant to us. We are upset that, under the present circumstances, we can’t be with you all to pay our respects properly. You are all very privileged to have such lovely people as parents. You are all a credit to them. We are both very proud of you all, just as they were. You are as they both would have wanted you to be. We send our love and sympathy to you all at this awful time. They were, and are, part of our lives. We are glad and very privileged to have been part of theirs.
