Mike, gone too soon, you have been our reservoir of stories, our fountain of historic trivia, our historian of tales yet to be told. Too sad, may you meet with many of your subjects and say hello to Ralph, bailey, Stu, Mike K and others and hold a place at the table for when we join you. Missing you, missed you, A pint or two when next we gather at our favourite Motorsport local. RIP good friend.
Honoured to have known you. You were truly an inspiration. I am certain that you , Bailey, Ralph, Stu, and Mike K are having a couple of cold ones and telling some great stories. We will miss you. Till we meet again, Rest easy old friend
Mike – I met your father first almost 50 years ago and then connected with you. It was quite obvious that your passion and enthusiasm for Motorsport was a genetic thing – it ‘affected’ the whole Lowe Family! You had a huge passion not only for the sport but, more importantly, for the people who you met and who were a part of the journey. You shared your encyclopedic knowledge without hesitation. Even more, you did whatever it took to help anyone who needed help, seeking nothing – except for maybe a smile as big as your own in return.
You were a very special person in so many lives. To say that you will be missed is a huge understatement but I can see your smile, hear your big laugh and I know that you are keeping an eye on us and enjoying it from up there. Keep a seat and save a beer! Miss ya, Mike. RIP.

Mike and I were so terribly sad to learn of Michael’s passing. Janet, there really are no words. We take solace in the fact that Michael literally changed his life to pursue life, love and family with you. We wish that we could do more than send virtual hugs, but please know that our hearts are with you. Michael truly changed the lives of those he spent time with – he will be sorely missed.
Michael, we made some great memories spending time with you and Janet over the past few years and I thank you for introducing me me to ice hockey. We were thinking of our trip to Amsterdam and the fun we had, I laugh when I think of the man that asked if we were father and son, and thereafter you called me son lol. Well, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye Michael…(DAD)!, God bless from us both xxxxxx????
we had such great fun writing the history of our storied Club, The Motorsport Club of Ottawa.
Your infectious humor will be sorely missed, my good friend.
Say hi to everyone.

Thinking of all families And friends of Michael Lowe. May you find strength during this sad time. Xx
Gone too soon. I miss Mike so very much. I had the joy of knowing this very interesting man, his interest in motorsports, his passion for his family, the times together, were always memorable. Was so very fortunate to see him last year, on one of his many trips to visit Ottawa over the years. I will miss that laugh and smile. Until we see each other again Mike, rest in peace.
We am truly heartbroken at your loss. To no longer get silly things in the mail, hear your laugh or get one of those huge never-ending hugs is such a hard thing to believe. You were such a caring person who was selfless in return. You wanted everyone to have their own special place. You made everyone around you feel like they were the most important person in the world. We know there must be a reason that you left so soon. We expect it is because you would never have stopped working and helping others that God thought that you needed a rest. You had such a big heart. We are so sad and we know you would hate that. We will never forget you and make sure that others do not either. We will do our best to keep your spirit alive. We will remember you when we go to Ireland next year and say a little prayer so that you will look down from Heaven to see us having fun and wishing you were there with us.
Well we never did start that race team Mike
Hope you’re chewing the ears off Stirling and Gilles!
RIP Mate

Mike, you were a friend, mentor, patriot, racer, historian, and cherished brother in law. One terrible day I lost them all. We are crushed and heartbroken to loose you so soon and suddenly. Before you go I wanted you know how great it was to know you, and that I will take care of Joanne and give her all the love and support she needs, as we do the same for Janet and her family. Though all the good memories remain with all those who knew and loved you, you will be dearly missed. Thank you for being such a big part of our lives. God bless, and rest in peace Michael.
