So unfair that this happened. Tragically sad. A hard 2 year fight since your diagnosis, I’m sorry I didn’t say goodbye in that time.
At various family events over the years, we have had a good giggle & enjoyed some great meals. I will remember some lovely chats about Loughborough University and how much it had changed from your student days to mine, hearing about your camping trips with the boys and nice meals that you liked to cook. It was wonderful seeing how proud you were at Laurie’s wedding.
I feel grateful to have known you. Rest in peace, knowing you were very loved and will be sorely missed Xx
I remember Phil as incredibly kind and generous. He was always ready to help and I will of course also remember him by his great sense of humor. He has imparted knowledge on me, which I continue to use and will always value very highly

I worked with Phil for many years and he was always kind, generous, gentle and patient. We had many a conversation regarding music, Ten In A Bar (of which he was so proud) and Rock Choir. He will be very much missed by all who knew him and the world is that much sadder in his passing.

It was an absolute pleasure to have known you as a friend and colleague at UK SBS. We both started in the same year within the same team and I will always look back fondly when we both use to travel to 1 Victoria St on a Friday and have our customary ‘fish and chips’ at lunchtime in the BEIS restaurant. Dear Phil
After thirty years of friendship it is difficult to believe that you have passed. We have shared many adventures together travelling around the world and some great evenings catching up in the local curry house. We will miss you very much.
