Sheelah will be sadly missed by myself and the Swindon and wider Catenian family. She had a great love of company and life. Sheelah is an example to us all on how to live life to the full in al the ages of our lives. I want to thank her for showing so many of us how fortunate we are to share the Catholic faith and the friendship that emanates from the Catenians. May she rest in peace.

If you were lucky to be in Sheelah’s company you soon would realise you would enjoy brilliant conversation . Not just brilliant but witty for her introduction of humour was fantastic. Missed her vocation she should have been a comic.
    Rest in Peace Sheelah

We shall always remember her cheerful nature & friendship.

    My dearest friend Michele

My deepest sympathies and condolences on the passing away of your wonderful Mum, Sheelah. I know that the two of you had a beautiful close loving relationship and may the wonderful memories of her comfort you and cover you like a warm blanket when you miss her.

Through you I came to know her as a beautiful soul who was a fabulous, lady with style and pizazz who remained trendy even at the young age of 93.
May God Almighty give you and family the strength you need in this difficult and sad time.

    With love.

Our sincere condolences from our Catenian family. I loved meeting up with Sheelah at Catenian Conferences – she was always so ‘with it’ and stylish! My son Chris is a Catenian now and he loved the fact that when he brought me as ‘his mum’ to Swindon Catenians I would immediately leave his side and have a lovely natter with Sheelah!
Michele, I understand this has been a hard few years for you and you are a true blessing as a wonderful daughter, Sheelah will be so proud of you up above and you must now enjoy your life to the full. Our family prayers and thoughts are with you all. God Bless You all, may Sheelah rest in peace.

Lots of lovely memories for me as a child on holiday in Swindon with my mum staying with Sheelah and John and then when Jim and I got married they were generous with both their love and support down the years.
And a great time was had by one and all when Sheelah and Michele travelled to our home in France.
Michele and Sheelah had a special relationship and we are just glad that in February we were able to travel down from Scotland to spend a few days with them.

    May Sheelah rest in peace.

Dear Michele, I only knew Sheelah in the last 10 years of her life but well enough to appreciate her warmth and humour. The memory of her brightness will I am sure, sustain you in the years to come. This message and other testimonies to your Mum’s qualities will, I hope, take you through the difficult weeks and months ahead and of course for Sheelah the resurrection message is clear and optimistic “The best is yet to come”.
    Many condolences, Richard.

On behalf of the Catenian brothers, from Swindon and beyond, who have met Sheelah during a venue or personnally during a social visit, we are missing an elegant stylish lady with a great gentle spirit.

    May she rest in peace.

I have many fond memories of Sheelah – working for her was such fun and a pleasure! A kind, generous lady who loved a joke and was always ready with a cuppa at the appropriate time. God bless you Sheelah, its such a pity there aren’t more people like you in this world! I miss your smile, and laughter and will never forget you!

I never had the pleasure of meeting your late mother but nonetheless learnt so much about her from mutual friends who did know her, as well as from yourself of course. I know from the occasion of my own father’s passing away two years ago, not only what it is like to lose a parent whom you have looked after for so long, but furthermore in the most difficult and untimely circumstances imaginable, so you most certainly have my fullest empathy in your ordeal.

Sheelah was a wonderful lady who was always welcoming and friendly and young at heart.. I was privileged to be able spend time with Sheelah and John as well as Michele over the past two decades, spending many enjoyable Christmas times with them in London. I also enjoyed an enjoyable few days with Sheelah and Michele in Brighton last summer, when Sheelah was clearly enjoying herself and in the holiday spirit.. She came to several Birthday meals, and was always the life and soul of the party. She will be much missed by all who knew her.
